Fifty Shades of Purple

Each year (and it seems like this year especially), we lose iconic figures that have influenced generations with their talent. Prince Rogers Nelson is yet another to add to that long list of genius. I have no special connection to him, other than I was a fan that moved to Minneapolis in the early 80s and happened to live near the “graffiti bridge” made famous by Prince in his unofficial Purple Rain sequel, Graffiti Bridge. But his passing last week made me reflect on the diverse nature of Prince's music and the complexity of his character. And it inspired this poster, which I've dubbed “Fifty Shades of Purple.” It's my little tribute to the legend...and proof that even though he's no longer with us, he will continue to be an inspiration. I hope you enjoy it.
