Target Holiday
The holiday campaign is like the Super Bowl for retail stores. (Actually, maybe more like the halftime show.) It has to be big. Has to have impact. Has to get people talking. We turned Target stores into a modern winter wonderland, by showcasing the work of industrial design sensation, Tord Boontje. With an elegant toolkit of elements that included signage (both exterior and interior), packaging, direct mail and an exclusive line of Tord products, the store came to life. Intricate cutouts made up a breathtaking holiday scene that raised the bar in the retail world. And it created quite a stir in the media world as well — there was more free media coverage around Target’s “Tord Holiday” than ever. Seems everyone took notice: holiday sales were up 4.1% over the previous year, the largest Q4 increase in a decade.
